Borrowing from the Collections

Borrowing from the Museum

Organizations may request to borrow objects from the museum collection by contacting the Director in writing (at 3203 Institute Road, North Vancouver, BC, V7K 3E5) and including the following information:

  • Name and contact information of borrowing organization
  • Object(s), including accession numbers, you would like to borrow (search online database here)
  • Why you want to borrow the object(s)
  • Time and place where borrowed object(s) will be used
  • How you propose to pack, transport, exhibit, and/or store the object(s)

NVMA staff will evaluate each object’s suitability for the proposed use. Priority is given to North Vancouver organizations, originating organizations, and uses that promote the history and cultures of North Vancouver.

An administration fee (to cover condition reporting, paperwork, basic cleaning, etc.) is charged per object. Additional costs for mount making, conservation, or packing may also be incurred by the borrower. (Fees may be waived upon application.) For additional information, contact NVMA’s Collections Manager.
