NVMA preserves a wide variety of historical records, documents, photographs, and artifacts related to North Vancouver. Most of them—other than municipal records—have been donated by individuals, organizations, and businesses. In deciding whether to accept documents and objects offered for donation, we consider the following criteria:
What is NVMA particularly interested in acquiring?
Notice regarding Museum donations
The Museum is currently reviewing its artifact collections for relevance and quality in order to reduce the number of objects in its care. New artifacts are acquired very selectively. Space and resources are limited, so any new objects considered for acquisition by the Museum must meet most of the criteria outlined above.
Charitable donations
Where a fair-market monetary value of over $25 can be established for a donation, NVMA can provide a charitable donation tax receipt to the donor.
